摘要:Dynamic assessment with an intelligent agent can differentiate the capabilities and proficiency of students. It can therefore be advocated as an interactive approach to conduct assessments on students in learning systems. Facebook AI Research proposed ELF OpenGo, an open-source reimplementation of the AlphaZero algorithm. They also developed Darkforest, which displays the competence and skills of high-level amateur Go players. To enable these open-source AI bots to assist humans at different levels in learning Go, this paper proposes an intelligent agent for real-world applications in robotic edutainment and humanized co-learning. To achieve this, we successfully constructed an OpenGo Darkforest (OGD) cloud platform using these AI bots and further combined the brain computer interface with the OGD cloud platform to observe the relationship between the brainwaves and win rates of human Go players. The intelligent agent also converted human brainwaves into physiological indices and reflected these in the robot to express human feelings or emotions in real-time. For future educational applications, this paper also presents intelligent robot teachers learning together with students in Taiwan and Japan. More than 200 students have been co-learning with intelligent robot teachers in Tainan, Kaohsiung, Taipei, and Tokyo from 2018 to 2019. The learning performance and feedback from students and teachers has been extremely positive, especially from remedial students.

摘要:Fuzzy relationships exist between students learning performance with various abilities and a test item. However, the challenges in implementing adaptive assessment agents are obtaining sufficient items, efficient and accurate computerized estimation, and a substantial feedback agent. Additionally, the agent must immediately estimate students ability item by item, which places a considerable burden on the server, especially for a group test. Hence, the implementation of an adaptive assessment agent is more difficult in practice. This paper proposes an agent with particle swarm optimization (PSO) based on a fuzzy markup language (FML) for students learning performance evaluation and educational applications, and the proposed agent is according to the response data from a conventional test and an item response theory (IRT)-based three-parameter logistic model. First, we apply a Gauss-Seidel based parameter estimation mechanism to estimate the items parameters according to the response data, and then to compare its results with those of an IRT-based Bayesian parameter estimation mechanism. In addition, we propose a static-IRT test assembly mechanism to assemble a form for the conventional test. The presented FML-based dynamic assessment mechanism infers the probability of making a correct response to the item for a student with various abilities. Moreover, this paper also proposes a novel PSO-based FML (PFML) learning mechanism for optimizing the parameters between items and students. Finally, we adopt a K-fold cross-validation mechanism to evaluate the performance of the proposed agent. Experimental results show that the novel PFML learning mechanism for the parameter estimation and learning optimization performs favorably. We believe the proposed PFML will be a reference for education research and pedagogy and an important colearning mechanism for future human-machine educational applications.

摘要:In this paper, we demonstrate the application of Fuzzy Markup Language (FML) to construct an FML-based Dynamic Assessment Agent (FDAA), and we present an FML-based Human–Machine Cooperative System (FHMCS) for the game of Go. The proposed FDAA comprises an intelligent decision-making and learning mechanism, an intelligent game bot, a proximal development agent, and an intelligent agent. The intelligent game bot is based on the open-source code of Facebook’s Darkforest, and it features a representational state transfer application programming interface mechanism. The proximal development agent contains a dynamic assessment mechanism, a GoSocket mechanism, and an FML engine with a fuzzy knowledge base and rule base. The intelligent agent contains a GoSocket engine and a summarization agent that is based on the estimated win rate, real-time simulation number, and matching degree of predicted moves. Additionally, the FML for player performance evaluation and linguistic descriptions for game results commentary are presented. We experimentally verify and validate the performance of the FDAA and variants of the FHMCS by testing five games in 2016 and 60 games of Google’s Master Go, a new version of the AlphaGo program, in January 2017. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed FDAA can work effectively for Go applications.

摘要:Patent technology requirement evaluation and recommendation are critical for patent strategy, patent management, and patent usage in an organization. This paper proposes a patent technology evaluation and recommendation agent based on a soft-computing approach to enhance patent expansibility and technology transfer. First, we investigate the relationship between patent technology and patent owners, such as academic institutes or organizations, and integrate the collected patent data with the characteristics of organizations to establish a popular patent ontology for general academic institutes or organizations. Then, the patent’s suitability for a specific organization is determined based on concepts extracted using Chinese Knowledge Information Processing. Next, we refer to the Japan Patent Office evaluation index and intellectual property quotient to describe the knowledge base and rule base of the patent quality evaluation agent by using fuzzy markup language (FML). A comprehensive patent quality evaluation mechanism is implemented, and the genetic algorithm is adopted to improve the performance of the proposed agent. Additionally, the patent requirement level evaluation mechanism infers the patent requirement level according to the basic information of an organization. Finally, we present a novel FML-based patent requirement recommendation agent to recommend a patent for an organization by considering the suitability of the patent technology for such an organization, the results of the comprehensive patent quality evaluation process, and the results of the evaluation of the demander’s patent requirements. According to the results, the proposed agent is feasible for patent recommendation. In the future, we will combine an intelligent robot with the GFML agent to assist humans or organizations in recommending an appropriate patent.

摘要:Owing to the change of our lifestyle, more people suffer from chronic diseases, such as obesity or diabetes. However, making improvements in terms of diet and physical activity can help people reduce the risk of suffering from these chronic diseases. This paper presents a healthy diet assessment mechanism based on fuzzy markup language (FML) for Japanese food. This mechanism is based on the dietary standard, food exchange list (FEL), published by the Japan Diabetes Society, to assess one person’s dietary healthy level according to his/her personal profile, his/her daily physical activity, and how balanced he/she consumes food items. We use FML to describe the knowledge base and the rule base of the constructed fuzzy logic system. Additionally, ontology stores the necessary knowledge base and rule base of the adopted fuzzy inference mechanism. The proposed mechanism operates as follows: (i) Dieticians first define the nutrient facts of the collected food items. (ii) The involved subjects record their personal information, eaten food items, and daily physical activity. Through the constructed FML-based personal profile ontology, the estimated energy requirement (EER) and the estimated unit requirement (EUR) for each food group are obtained after inference. (iii) Finally, one-day dietary healthy level (DHL) is inferred by the proposed fuzzy inference mechanism. From the experimental results, the proposed mechanism is feasible to apply to Japanese dietary assessment. In the future, we will integrate with genetic learning algorithm and collect more subjects’ records to further improve the performance.

摘要:The Google DeepMind challenge match in March 2016 was a historic achievement for computer Go development. This article discusses the development of computational intelligence (CI) and its relative strength in comparison with human intelligence for the game of Go. We first summarize the milestones achieved for computer Go from 1998 to 2016. Then, the computer Go programs that have participated in previous IEEE CIS competitions as well as methods and techniques used in AlphaGo are briefly introduced. Commentary from three high-level professional Go players on the five AlphaGo versus Lee Sedol games are also included. We conclude that AlphaGo beating Lee Sedol is a huge achievement in artificial intelligence (AI) based largely on CI methods. In the future, powerful computer Go programs such as AlphaGo are expected to be instrumental in promoting Go education and AI real-world applications.

摘要:The game of Go is a long-history board game that is much more complex than chess. The uncertainties of this game will be higher when the board size gets bigger. For evaluating the human performance on Go games, one human could be advanced to a higher rank based on the number of winning games via a formal human against human competition. However, a human Go player’s performance could be influenced by some factors, such as the on-the-spot environment as well as physical and mental situations of the day, which causes the difficulty and uncertainty in certificating the human’s rank. Thanks to a sample of one player’s games, evaluating his/her strength by classical models such as the Bradley-Terry model is possible. However, due to inhomogeneous game conditions and limited access to archives of games, such estimates can be imprecise. Also, classical rankings (1 Dan, 2 Dan, ...) are integers, leading to a rather imprecise estimate of the opponent’s strengths. Therefore, we propose to use a sample of games played against a computer to estimate the human’s strength. In order to increase the precision, the strength of the computer is adapted from one move to the next by increasing or decreasing the computational power based on the current situation and the result of games. The human can decide some specific conditions, such as komi and board size. In this paper, we use T2FSs with parameters optimized by a genetic algorithm for estimating the rank in a stable manner, independently of the board size. More precisely, an adaptive Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) estimates the number of simulations, corresponding to the strength of its opponents. Next, the T2FS-based adaptive linguistic assessment system infers the human performance and presents the results using the linguistic description. The experimental results show the proposed approach is feasible for the application to the adaptive linguistic assessment on human Go player’s performance.

摘要:Many different real-world applications with a high-level of uncertainty proved the good performance of the type-2 fuzzy sets (T2 FSs). Balanced diet means the intake of each necessary nutrient meets its adequate demand and actual caloric intake balances with calories burned. Additionally, making a diversity of choice from various types of food is also essential to reduce the risk of developing various chronic diseases. Different people have a different goal and it is hard to measure how healthy the eaten meal is for those who are not the domain experts on the diet. This paper presents an adaptive personalized diet linguistic recommendation mechanism based on type-2 fuzzy logic system (T2 FLS) and genetic fuzzy markup language (GFML). First, an adaptive dietary assessment and recommendation ontology is constructed by domain experts, and then a T2 FS-based GFML, describing the fuzzy knowledge base and the fuzzy rule base of the proposed mechanism, is evolved by using genetic algorithms (GAs). Next, a T2 FS-based fuzzy inference mechanism infers the result of the dietary health level based on the evolved type-2 GFML (T2GFML). In addition, the balanced computation mechanism is also proposed to reduce the computational complexity of the T2 FLS for the diet domain knowledge. Finally, the linguistic knowledge discovery mechanism presents the discovered linguistic meaning about the meal’s health level to show the involved subjects how to make a personalized diet linguistic recommendation. This type of information about the eaten meal can provide the subjects with a reference to gradually improve their unhealthy eating habit and then become healthier and healthier. Experimental results show that the results of the proposed mechanism for the T2 FLS are better than those for the type-1 fuzzy logic system (T1 FLS).

摘要:The game of Go is considered one of the most complicated games in the world. One Go game is divided into three stages, including the opening, the middle, and the ending stages. Millions of people regularly play Go in countries around the world. The game is played by two players. One is White and another is Black. The players alternate placing one of their stones on an empty intersection of a square grid-patterned game board. The player with more territory wins the game. To encourage players to enjoy Go and keep their tension on the game, this paper proposes a soft-computing-based emotional expression mechanism and applies it to the game of computer Go. First, the knowledge base and rule base of the proposed mechanism are defined by following the standards of the Fuzzy Markup Language (FML). The soft-computing mechanism for Go regional alarm level is responsible for showing the inferred regional alarm level to Go beginners. Based on the inferred board situation, the fuzzy inference mechanisms for emotional pleasure and arousal are responsible for inferring the pleasure degree and arousal degree, respectively. An emotional expression mapping mechanism maps the inferred degree of pleasure and degree of arousal into the emotional expression of the eye robot. The protocol transmission mechanism finally sends the pre-defined protocol to the eye robot via universal serial bus (USB) interface to make the eye robot express its emotional motion. From the experimental results, it shows that the eye robot can support Go beginners to have fun and retain their tension while watching or playing a game of Go.

摘要:NoGo is similar to the game of Go in terms of gameplay; however, the goal is different: the first player who either suicides or kills a group loses the game and the first player with no legal move loses the game. In this paper, we propose an approach combining the technologies of ontologies, evolutionary computation, fuzzy logic, and fuzzy markup language (FML) with a genetic algorithm (GA)-based system for the NoGo game. Based on the collected patterns and the pre-constructed fuzzy NoGo ontology, the genetic FML (GFML) with the fuzzy inference mechanism is able to analyze the situation of the current game board and then play next move to an inferred good-move position. Additionally, the genetic learning mechanism continuously evolves the adopted GFMLs to enable an increase in the winning rate of the GA-based NoGo via playing with the baseline NoGo. In the proposed approach, first, the domain experts construct the important NoGo patterns and the fuzzy NoGo ontology based on the rules of NoGo and the past game records. Second, each GA-based NoGo as White plays against the baseline NoGo as Black according to the inferred and calculated good-move position, respectively. Third, the genetic learning mechanism is carried out to generate two new evolved GFMLs and then the worst two GFMLs stored in the GFML repository are replaced. Fourth, the GFML with the highest winning rate is randomly sampled from the GFML repository in the time series. Finally, one by one the GA-based NoGo adopts the sampled GFML to play lots of games against the baseline NoGo to obtain the winning rate of the GA-based NoGo. The acquired winning rates at the time series show that the proposed approach can work effectively and that the average winning rate of the GA-based NoGo program is much stronger than the baseline NoGo program.

摘要:In this paper, we present a novel Genetic Fuzzy Markup Language (GFML)-based genetic fuzzy system, including the genetic learning base, the knowledge base and rule base of FML, the fuzzy inference engine, and the genetic learning mechanism. The GFML is applied to the genetic fuzzy system for dealing with the knowledge base, the rule base, and the genetic learning base of the healthy diet domain, including the ingredients and the contained servings of six food categories of some common food in Taiwan. Moreover, the proposed novel system is able to infer the healthy status of human’s daily eating. In the proposed system, the domain experts first define the nutrient facts of the common food to construct the fuzzy food ontology. Meanwhile, the involved Taiwanese students of National University of Tainan (NUTN) record their daily meals for a constant period of time. Then, based on the built fuzzy profile ontology, fuzzy food ontology, and fuzzy personal food ontology, a GFML-based genetic fuzzy system is carried out to infer the possibility of dietary healthy level for one-day meals. The experimental results show that the proposed GFML-based genetic fuzzy system gives good results for the healthy diet assessment.

摘要:Heart Rate Variability (HRV) represents a physiological phenomenon which consists in the oscillation in the interval between consecutive heartbeats. Based on the HRV analysis, cardiology experts can make a assessment for both the cardiac health and the condition of the autonomic nervous system that is responsible for controlling heart activity and, consequently, they try to prevent cardiovascular mortality. In this scenario, one of the most widely accepted and low-cost diagnostic procedures useful for deriving and evaluating the HRV is surely the electrocardiogram (ECG), i.e., a transthoracic interpretation of the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time. With the advent of modern signal processing techniques, the diagnostic power of the ECG is increased exponentially due to the huge number of features that are typically extracted from the ECG signal. Even though this expanded set of features could allow medical staffs to diagnose various pathologies in an accurate way, it is too complex to manage in a manual way and, for this reason, methods for feature representation and evaluation are necessary for supporting medical diagnosis. Starting from this consideration, this paper proposes an enhanced ECG-based decision making system exploiting a collection of ontological models representing the ECG and HRV feature sets and a fuzzy inference engine based on Type-2 Fuzzy Markup Language capable of evaluating the ECG and HRV properties related to a given person and infer detailed information about his health quality level. As will be shown in the experimental section, where the proposed approach has been tested on a set of under exams students, our diagnostic framework yields good performances both in terms of precision and recall.

摘要:This paper proposes a Human Intelligence (HI)-based Computational Intelligence (CI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fuzzy Markup Language (CI&AI-FML) Metaverse as an educational environment for co-learning of students and machines. The HI-based CI&AI-FML Metaverse is based on the spirit of the Heart Sutra that equips the environment with teaching principles and cognitive intelligence of ancient words of wisdom. There are four stages of the Metaverse: preparation and collection of learning data, data preprocessing, data analysis, and data evaluation. During the data preparation stage, the domain experts construct a learning dictionary with fuzzy concept sets describing different terms and concepts related to the course domains. Then, the students and teachers use the developed CI&AI-FML learning tools to interact with machines and learn together. Once the teachers prepare relevant material, students provide their inputs/texts representing their levels of understanding of the learned concepts. A Natural Language Processing (NLP) tool, Chinese Knowledge Information Processing (CKIP), is used to process data/text generated by students. A focus is put on speech tagging, word sense disambiguation, and named entity recognition. Following that, the quantitative and qualitative data analysis is performed. Finally, the students’ learning progress, measured using progress metrics, is evaluated and analyzed. The experimental results reveal that the proposed HI-based CI&AI-FML Metaverse can foster students motivation to learn and improve their performance. It has been shown in the case of young students studying Software Engineering and learning English.

摘要:The currently observed developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its influence on different types of industries mean that human-robot cooperation is of special importance. Various types of robots have been applied to the so-called field of Edutainment, i.e., the field that combines education with entertainment. This paper introduces a novel fuzzy-based system for a human-robot cooperative Edutainment. This co-learning system includes a brain-computer interface (BCI) ontology model and a Fuzzy Markup Language (FML)-based Reinforcement Learning Agent (FRL-Agent). The proposed FRL-Agent is composed of (1) a human learning agent, (2) a robotic teaching agent, (3) a Bayesian estimation agent, (4) a robotic BCI agent, (5) a fuzzy machine learning agent, and (6) a fuzzy BCI ontology. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed system, the FRL-Agent is used as a robot teacher in a number of elementary schools, junior high schools, and at a university to allow robot teachers and students to learn together in the classroom. The participated students use handheld devices to indirectly or directly interact with the robot teachers to learn English. Additionally, a number of university students wear a commercial EEG device with eight electrode channels to learn English and listen to music. In the experiments, the robotic BCI agent analyzes the collected signals from the EEG device and transforms them into five physiological indices when the students are learning or listening. The Bayesian estimation agent and fuzzy machine learning agent optimize the parameters of the FRL agent and store them in the fuzzy BCI ontology. The experimental results show that the robot teachers motivate students to learn and stimulate their progress. The fuzzy machine learning agent is able to predict the five physiological indices based on the eight-channel EEG data and the trained model. In addition, we also train the model to predict the other students’ feelings based on the analyzed physiological indices and labeled feelings. The FRL agent is able to provide personalized learning content based on the developed human and robot cooperative edutainment approaches. To our knowledge, the FRL agent has not applied to the teaching fields such as elementary schools before and it opens up a promising new line of research in human and robot co-learning. In the future, we hope the FRL agent will solve such an existing problem in the classroom that the high-performing students feel the learning contents are too simple to motivate their learning or the low-performing students are unable to keep up with the learning progress to choose to give up learning.

摘要:This paper proposes an Adaptive Fuzzy Neural Agent (AFNA) with a Patch Learning Mechanism and IEEE 1855 Fuzzy Markup Language (FML) for human and machine co-learning. There are three phases of patch learning mechanism embedded in AFNA, including (1) training an initial global model, (2) training a patch model for each identified patch, and (3) updating the global model using the training data that do not fall into any patch. The AFNA can be applied to construct the student and robot co-learning regression model, as well as the regression model for the data set retrieved from the game of Go. First, students generate human learning data through interactions with handheld devices or robots based on the AFNA in Taiwan and Japan. Then, the AFNA utilizes the student learning data collected in the classroom and the Go game data provided by both Google DeepMind and Facebook AI Research (FAIR) open-source OpenGo to train the Fuzzy Machine Learning Model. In addition, the trained Fuzzy Machine Learning Model of AFNA is deployed to the robots to make students and machines co-learn together based on IEEE 1855 FML. The experiments show that the AFNA with Patch Learning Mechanism and Fuzzy Machine Learning Model can improve the performance of regression model based on the data sets of student learning and Go game. In the future, we hope to apply the AFNA with robots to the other domain areas, embed it with the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) devices, and introduce it to more teaching fields in various countries.

摘要:In this paper, we propose a brain–computer interface (BCI)-based Human-in-the-Loop (Hit-Loop) agent for human and artificial intelligence (AI) colearning in music listening and appreciation with an Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) application. The novel BCI-based Hit-Loop agent contains human intelligence with BCI-based AIoT-Fuzzy Markup Language (FML) and BCI-FML agents, as well as machine intelligence with AI-FML Hit-Loop and AIoT-FML agents. We used FML to facilitate communication between humans and the AI-FML robots through an AIoT-FML Learning Tool (AIoT-FML-LT), which was the core technology of the AI-FML Hit-Loop agent for the BCI-based music listening and appreciation application. Furthermore, the novel AIoT-FML-LT in conjunction with the BCI-FML and AIoT-FML agents was developed and presented for music listening and student learning. Moreover, the BCI-based AIoT-FML and AI-FML Hit-Loop agents were applied in English language learning, and the AIoT-FML-LT assisted in measuring student learning performance in Taiwan and Japan. The human-like high-level knowledge base and rule base were constructed by various domain experts, as well as the personalized electroencephalography (EEG) and student English learning data sets collected using the BCI device and AIoT-FML-LT, respectively, and were applied to machine learning models such as deep learning and particle swarm optimization. Additionally, the AIoT-FML-LT was connected to the AIoT-FML Hit-Loop agent for human and robot colearning. The relationship between human perceptions and the AIoT-FML Hit-Loop agent in terms of eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and brain corresponding to sights, sounds, smells, tastes, objects of touch, and mind are discussed. Finally, the students learned human language and AI language by using the AI-FML robots and AIoT-FML-LT together with the human English learning and AI-FML machine learning models, respectively. The experimental results reveal that the BCI-based Hit-Loop agent for human and AI-FML robot colearning in conjunction with AIoT applications can effectively facilitate music listening and appreciation application as well as English listening in Taiwan and Japan. The learning behavior and performance of the students also improved after incorporation of the human and robot colearning model.

摘要:Antimalware application is one of the most important research issues in the area of cyber security threat. Nowadays, because hackers continuously develop novel techniques to intrude into computer systems for various reasons, many security researchers should analyze and track new malicious program to protect sensitive and valuable information in the organization. In this paper, we propose a novel soft-computing mechanism based on the ontology model for malware behavioral analysis: Malware Analysis Network in Taiwan (MAN in Taiwan, MiT). The core techniques of MiT contain two parts listed as follows: (1) collect the logs of network connection, registry, and memory from the operation system on the physical-virtual hybrid analysis environment to get and extract more unknown malicious behavior information. The important information is then extracted to construct the ontology model by using the Web Ontology Language and Fuzzy Markup Language. Additionally, MiT is also able to automatically provide and share samples and reports via the cloud storage mechanism; (2) apply the techniques of Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Set to construct the malware analysis domain knowledge, namely the Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Malware Ontology (IT2FMO), for malware behavior analysis. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can effectively execute the malware behavior analysis, and the constructed system has also released under GNU General Public License version 3. In the future, the system is expected to largely collect and analyze malware samples for providing industries or universities to do related applications via the established IT2FMO.

摘要:Antimalware application is one of the most important research issues in the area of cyber security threat. Nowadays, because hackers continuously develop novel techniques to intrude into computer systems for various reasons, many security researchers should analyze and track new malicious program to protect sensitive and valuable information in the organization. In this paper, we propose a novel soft-computing mechanism based on the ontology model for malware behavioral analysis: Malware Analysis Network in Taiwan (MAN in Taiwan, MiT). The core techniques of MiT contain two parts listed as follows: (1) collect the logs of network connection, registry, and memory from the operation system on the physical-virtual hybrid analysis environment to get and extract more unknown malicious behavior information. The important information is then extracted to construct the ontology model by using the Web Ontology Language and Fuzzy Markup Language. Additionally, MiT is also able to automatically provide and share samples and reports via the cloud storage mechanism; (2) apply the techniques of Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Set to construct the malware analysis domain knowledge, namely the Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Malware Ontology (IT2FMO), for malware behavior analysis. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can effectively execute the malware behavior analysis, and the constructed system has also released under GNU General Public License version 3. In the future, the system is expected to largely collect and analyze malware samples for providing industries or universities to do related applications via the established IT2FMO.

摘要:This article applies the fuzzy ontology concepts of Heart Sutra to artificial intelligence (AI) for elementary and high-school students learning English and fuzzy markup language (FML) in AI-FML Metaverse. Computational Intelligence (CI) is an imperative branch of AI and it includes fuzzy logic (FL), neural network (NN), and evolutionary computation (EC). Based on the technologies of reinforcement learning (RL), intelligent agent, ontology, and AI-FML human and machine co-learning, we propose a fuzzy ontology-based intelligent agent for young students to learn and experience CI applications, including basic concepts of FL, NN, and EC, on the AI-FML Metaverse platform. Additionally, we combine the core technologies of fuzzy ontology and AI-FML with the tenets of the Heart Sutra for constructing the intelligent agent in the AI-FML Metaverse with computational, perceptive, and cognitive intelligence. Moreover, we also apply the human semantic understanding of the Heart Sutra to explain the concept of the AI-FML Metaverse platform to elementary and high-school students to learn and experience CI. The intelligent agent interacts with the environment of the learning field and AI-FML Metaverse, it can help teachers and students evaluate learners’ interest in each episode’s learning content. Finally, it predicts their learning temperature in thermometers to present learners’ performance in the learning contents, such as English or CI application. After evaluating the implementation of AI-FML Metaverse in the elementary school (grades 5-6), junior high school (grades 7-8), and senior high school (grades 10-12) students in Taiwan, we observe that the intelligent agent can work effectively and students’ learning thermometer has an increasing tendency at the end of the 2021 fall semesters in AI-FML Metaverse and 2022 AI-FML winter camp in Taiwan.

摘要:This paper presents the Computational Intelligence (CI) and Artificial Intelli-gence (AI)- Fuzzy Markup Language (CI&AI-FML) learning model, called the CI&AI-FML human and machine co-learning model, for pre-university students to experience and practice CI&AI-FML. Since 2019, we have en-gaged much in interacting and working with teachers to teach pre-university students the basic concepts of computational intelligence, such as fuzzy sets and evolutionary computing in real-world applications. To inspire and en-courage more pre-university students to attend these CI&AI-FML learning and experience activities, we organized a CI&AI-FML Machine Learning Competition @ IEEE WCCI 2022 and a workshop on AI-FML Robotic Learning with AIoT (AI of Things) Applications @ 2022 IEEE CIS Summer School in Taiwan. In these events, we prepare the key but simple concepts of the CI for pre-university students learning and practice, for example, learners can practice AI-FML learning tools with Augmented Creativity (AR) and Google Teachable Machine to travel recommendation applications. From the experimental results, this kind of learning model is suitable for pre-university students to experience and practice CI for real-world applications. In the fu-ture, we hope to encourage more young students and researchers to work with CI techniques and methods for real-world applications.

摘要:In this paper, we propose an AI-FML agent for robotic game of Go and AIoT real-world co-learning applications. The fuzzy machine learning mechanisms are adopted in the proposed model, including fuzzy markup language (FML)-based genetic learning (GFML), eXtreme Gradient Boost (XGBoost), and a seven-layered deep fuzzy neural network (DFNN) with backpropagation learning, to predict the win rate of the game of Go as Black or White. This paper uses Google AlphaGo Master sixty games as the dataset to evaluate the performance of the fuzzy machine learning, and the desired output dataset were predicted by Facebook AI Research (FAIR) ELF Open Go AI bot. In addition, we use IEEE 1855 standard for FML to describe the knowledge base and rule base of the Open Go Darkforest (OGD) prediction platform in order to infer the win rate of the game. Next, the proposed AI-FML agent publishes the inferred result to communicate with the robot Kebbi Air based on MQTT protocol to achieve the goal of human and smart machine co-learning. From Sept. 2019 to Jan. 2020, we introduced the AI-FML agent into the teaching and learning fields in Taiwan. The experimental results show the robots and students can co-learn AI tools and FML applications effectively. In addition, XGBoost outperforms the other machine learning methods but DFNN has the most obvious progress after learning. In the future, we hope to deploy the AI-FML agent to more available robot and human co-learning platforms through the established AI-FML International Academy in the world.

摘要:In this paper, we propose an AI-FML robotic agent for student learning behavior ontology construction which can be applied in English speaking and listening domain. The AI-FML robotic agent with the ontology contains the perception intelligence, computational intelligence, and cognition intelligence for analyzing student learning behavior. In addition, there are three intelligent agents, including a perception agent, a computational agent, and a cognition agent in the AI-FML robotic agent. We deploy the perception agent and the cognition agent on the robot Kebbi Air. Moreover, the computational agent with the Deep Neural Network (DNN) model is performed in the cloud and can communicate with the perception agent and cognition agent via the Internet. The proposed AI-FML robotic agent is applied in Taiwan and tested in Japan. The experimental results show that the agents can be utilized in the human and machine co-learning model for the future education.

摘要:In this paper, we propose an AI-FML agent with a patch learning (PL) mechanism for the robotic game of Go applications. The proposed AI-FML agent contains three kinds of intelligence, including a perception intelligence, a cognition intelligence, and computational intelligence, for the robotic application. Additionally, we embed the PL mechanism into the AI-FML agent. The method for running PL involves three steps. It first trains an initial global model, then trains a patch model for each identified patch, and finally updates the global model using the training data that do not fall into any patch. This paper adopts the Google DeepMind Master 60 games to be the training data and testing data set. The experimental results show the AI-FML agent with the patch learning mechanism can improve the performance of regression for the robotic game of Go applications.
