摘要:Metal halide perovskite is not easy to form a film due to its high crystallinity, which makes it unfavourable for its application in self-luminous LED. Herein, we propose a film synthesis process for perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) based on bath coating. The proposed method is low in cost, can be performed in an atmospheric environment at room temperature, and is suitable for the rapid mass production of closely stacked PeQDs on the deposition substrate with excellent luminous characteristics. By controlling the deposit time and rotation speed, the monolayer QD film can be achieved. The deposited monolayer QD film shows a high transmittance of up to 86% and a narrow FWHM of 18 nm. The device fabricated by monolayer QD film shows a low threshold voltage of 3 V, the maximum luminance of 150 cd/m2, the maximum current efficiency of 0.085 cd/A, the maximum EQE of 0.027%, and the high color purity of 87%. Due to the above properties, monolayer QD film elements have potential in smart home appliances and wearable devices, especially AR glasses.

摘要:Herein, we propose a method for preparing highly stable perovskite CsPbBr3 nanocrystals embedded within silica matrices using novel electrospray injection deposition without the aid of a catalyst, water, or ligand. In contrast to conventional colloidal perovskite film formation, the proposed method offers a simple, scalable route towards stable and smooth film formation, which is beneficial for robust and high-performance light-emitting diode devices.

摘要:In this study, the effect of integrating a ZnO:Al (AZO) charge injection layer into dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) is investigated. The AZO charge injection layer was deposited using a low-cost sol-gel deposition method directly onto fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) conducting glass just before TiO2 photoanode coating. The structural and optoelectronic properties of AZO charge injection layer are then investigated as a function of the precursor concentration. The integration of AZO charge injection layer leads to the improvement of power conversion efficiency (PCE) by preventing the electrolyte coming in contact with FTO and improving charge injection from the charge AZO layer. It was found that there is an optimum AZO precursor concentration for charge injection layer deposition and DSSCs fabricated using higher concentration resulted in reduced photovoltaic performance due to reduced light transparency, whilst charge injection layer deposited at lower precursor concentration were found to reduce DSSC performance due to insufficient converage.

摘要:Bi2S3/Reduced graphene oxide (RGO) composite were synthesized by a low-cost hydrothermal method and utilized in a low-cost, Pt-free dye-sensitized solar cells. the structure properties of the Bi2S3 were extensively characterized using X-ray diffraction measurement, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Electrochemical analysis reveals that the RGO addition into Bi2S3 resulted in reduced charge transfer resistance and improved catalytic activity. The RGO addition into Bi2S3 resulted in DSSC power conversion efficiency from 1.96% to 4.78%

摘要:This paper reports the imrpovement of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) performance by a ZnO/SnO (ZTO) composite thin film. The ZTO thin film was deposited using the sol-gel method and inserted at the TiO2 layer/conductive glass interface, just before the anode formation. The optimized ZTO layer improved the performance of DSSCs by preventing the electrolyte seeping into the FTO and facilitate electron transfer. It was found that there exist a narrow experimental for the optimized ZTO layer and films deposited under non-optimized condition yielded in reduced DSSC performance due to decreased film transparency

摘要:A novel approach to produce Pt-free, earth abundant SnS2/reduced graphene oxide (RGO) counter electrode for dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) is reported. The SnS2 formation was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was found that the RGO. Scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope confirms the formation of nanosheets that binds together in spherical geometry. It was found that the RGO addition into SnS2 counter electrode resulted in DSSCs with 38% increase in power conversion efficiency due to the overall decrease in resistivity of the thin film.

摘要:In this paper, ZnO nanobranches are successfully synthesised by a simple solution-based process and served as electron transport layer in perovskite solar cells (PSC). The structure and chemical composition of the synthesized ZnO branches and nanowires were characterised by using a scanning electron microscopy equipped with an energy dispersive spectroscopy. Also the X-ray diffraction measurements and photoluminescence emission measurements were performed to gain understanding of the crystal phase and quality of the samples. The proposed ZnO nanobranches outperforms conventional vertically aligned ZnO nanowire by almost 85% due to the enhanced charge collection and reduction in structural defects from the second annealing process.

摘要:Polycrystalline, p-type ZnO were synthesized by KMnO4 doping using the sol-gel deposition process. Depending on the amount of doping, the addition of KMnO4 into ZnO resulted in either fibrous or porous film morphology. Optically, the films were transparent with transmittance ranging from 82∼88% depending on doping concentration. The p-type doping were confirmed using Hall effect measurements and the formation of rectifying pn junction with n-type ZnO.

摘要:Zinc oxide decrorated tin dioxide nanosheets have been synthesized by the sol-gel deposition process. Scanning electron microscope imaging conforms the formation these nanosheets within post annealing temperature at 500 °C. The decoration of ZnO onto SnO2 was confirmed by high resolution imaging. The highest efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cells utilizing the proposed material is 0.98%

摘要:In this study, p-type ZnO:K was successfully produced by potassium hydroxide using a sol-gel deposition process. The deposited ZnO:K samples were examined by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Hall-effect measurements, photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) and Ultraviolet–visible ((UV–vis)) spectroscopy. It was found that the amount K-doping strongly affects the structure and optoelectronic properties of ZnO, with p-type conduction obtained in films doped between 2–5 at%.

摘要:Novel p-type SnO:Mn:K thin films were synthesized by a sol-gel deposition technique on soda-lime glass substrates. The structure of the SnO:Mn:K thin films were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction pattern measurements and were found to be strongly influenced by the dopant concentration, with a significant changes in film morphology as the KMn dopant increases. Hall effect measurement revealed that p-type SnO:Mn:K thin films can be obtained within the optimized doping concentration. The p-type doping was also confirmed by integrating the SnO:Mn:K thin film onto n-type crystalline silicon to form a heterojunction device.

The as-deposited ZnO microsheets were extensively characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS). Based on the observed optical and structural analysis, possible ZnO microsheets growth model was proposed.

摘要:Vertically aligned ZnO nanowire arrays on the paper substrate are integrated into a novel, sound-driven, piezoelectric nanogenerator device. The intrinsic impedance of the circuit causes phase differences between the input and output signals. For the input sound of around 40 db, an AC output voltage of about 5 mV is achieved. Because of the paper substrate allows the acoustic energy to dissipate, the fabricated device has detected a 4.88 db loss in the input sound signal.

摘要:In this study, SnO2 nanoflakes were prepared by a sol-gel deposition process. The SnO2 nanoflakes were around 15 μm in length and 200 nm in width with a thickness of around 50 nm. The SnO2 nanoflakes were bound with SnO2 nanoparticles with an average diameter of 10 nm. As photoanodes, the dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSCs) based on the SnO2 nanoflakes show an improved power conversion efficiency of 0.62%, improved by 4 folds compared to pure SnO2 thin film (0.14%). The efficiency improvement is due to the vertically-aligned, crystalline sheet-like structure, which provides superior enhanced light scattering and electron transport.

摘要:AbstractSpin-coating deposition is widely employed for the fabrication of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) due to its conformal coating ability and simple set-up. Although spin-coating deposition is a proven technique for obtaining high-performance PSCs, it is a single-substrate process with low throughput and is therefore unsuitable for commercial PSC production. Herein, we report an industrial-production-compatible electrospray deposition process for the preparation of the hole transport layer (HTL) and active layer in PSCs. Using electrosprayed CuXO as the HTL, we fabricated a solar cell with a power conversion efficiency of 5.83%, a short-circuit current density of 17.22 mA cm2, an open circuit voltage of 0.7 V, and a fill factor of 0.48. This device outperforms PSCs (with identical device structure) fabricated using a PEDOT:PSS film (efficiency: 4.01%).

摘要:A novel, fabrication process of nanostructured CuO/ZnO heterojunctional device was demonstrated using a simple hydrothermal process. The deposited ZnO and CuO were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, UV–vis spectroscopy and electrical measurement. Photovoltaic measurements on the fabricated heterojunction device revealed that power conversion efficiency ∼0.67% can be obtained through the proposed combination.

摘要:Copper oxide(CuO) and CuO/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) films were prepared by using a hydrothermal method. The properties of the films were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The SEM imaging revealed that the CuO film consisted of 10 nm diameter nanoparticles. The XRD pattern and XPS measurements confirmed the formation of the monoclinic phase of CuO. Electrochemical testing revealed that supercapacitors fabricated with CuO-rGO as electrode materials resulted in an four folds increase in capacitance compared to CuO-based supercapacitor due to the deduced graphene restacking and lower electrical resistance between the CuO nanoparticles.

摘要:P-type ZnO:Al:N thin films have been successfully deposited on Corning glass substrates using an industrial compatible, direct current sputtering technique. Effects of the nitrogen flow rate on the film structure and optoelectronic properties are investigated using X-ray diffraction measurement (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy. The XRD patterns suggest that all of the samples exhibit a preferential growth direction along the c-axis orientation and the change of film stress as the nitrogen flow increases. The Hall-effect measurements reveal that our samples are hole conduction (p-type), with high carrier concentration and low film resistivity. The UV–Vis spectroscopy measurements indicate that, as the nitrogen doping increases, the surface roughness increases, which significantly reduces the optical transmittance. For the purpose of demonstration, ZnO-based pn junctions have been fabricated and characterized by current–voltage measurements. It is shown that these fabricated devices exhibit a rectifying behaviour and, as a result, confirm the p-type conductivity.

摘要:This study investigates dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) manufactured with carbon-based counter electrodes (carbon black, graphite and graphene). Specifically, it examine the effects of each commonly employed carbon allotrope on the subsequent photovoltaic performance. The fabricated carbon counter electrodes were extensively characterized by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). DSSCs were also manufactured using counter electrodes produced by different mixtures of carbon allotropes. It was found that the addition of graphene into carbon black produces high photovoltaic performances in DSSCs by creating additional conduction paths and a high surface area for iodide reduction. It is potentially feasible that such a carbon configuration can be used as a counter electrode, replacing the more expensive Pt.

摘要:Thin films of ZnO:Co were prepared by a sol–gel process. The microstructure and optoelectronic properties as a function of sintering temperature were studied extensively by optoelectronic characterizations. It was observed from the scanning electron microscopy images that the introduction of Co eliminated the commonly observed wrinkle effect in sol-gel derived films. Structurally, XRD measurements revealed that the derived film were c-axis oriented that enhances as sintering temperature increases upto 500 °C. Electrical measurements confirm that the deposited ZnO:Co thin film is n-type with decreasing resistivity as sintering temperature increases. Optical measurements revealed that the derived films exhibit good transmittance ~82% with a wide band gap ~4.01 eV.

摘要:In this study, a solution-derived cobalt sulfide (CoS) was utilized as counter electrode (CE) in dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC). It is show that high-quality CoS nanocrystals (10 ∼ 500 nm) can be formed by post annealing process at temperatures above 500 °C. The deposited CoS nanocrystals effectively replace the commonly used platinum. Photovoltaic measurements revealed that the DSSCs assembled with the CoS CE showed excellent performance with open voltage of around 0.64 V, short circuit current of 7.1 mA/cm2 and power conversion efficiency of around 5%.

摘要:In this study, ZnO:Na thin films doped with 1–5 at.% of Na were synthesized on glass substrates by the sol-gel deposition technique. The morphology and optoelectronic properties of the thin films were characterized by using the environmental scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV–Vis spectroscopy and Hall effect measurements. The SEM images and XRD pattern both indicated a substantial change in the film structure as the Na content increases due to the oversupply of the OH− ions in the initial precursor solution. UV–Vis spectroscopy measurements revealed that the increase in Na doping resulted in the decreases of the optical transmittance and the optical band gap due to the formation recombination centers. Hall effect measurements confirmed that the ZnO:Na films doped with >2 at.% of Na are stable with p-type conduction behaviour. As a demonstration, a ZnO-based junction was fabricated using the synthesized ZnO:Na/ZnO thin films on indium tin oxide glass substrates

摘要:p-Type silicon coated zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowire heterojunction was fabricated using a combination of aluminium induced crystallization (AIC) and hydrothermal growth. The p-type AIC Si/n-type ZnO nanowires stacked layers were extensively characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX), UV–vis spectroscopy, XRD, photoluminescence emission spectroscopy and electrical measurements. Photovoltaic measurements indicate that the device is light-sensitive and maybe of potential in sensor applications.

摘要:In this paper, the performance of crystalline silicon solar cells was improved by integrating ZnO nanowire array antireflection coating by hydrothermal growth method. The average length and diameter of the ZnO nanowires are around 5 μm and 50 nm. Scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction patterns revealed that the ZnO nanowire array are vertically aligned to the substrate and highly crystalline. Optical data confirms that the ZnO nanowire array effectively reduces the reflectance, especially between wavelength from 200 to 100 nm. Compared to uncoated devices, the ZnO nanowire array improved the overall conversion by around 25%.

摘要:A new type of nano-composite material is investigated for use as the counter electrode of a dye sensitized solar cell. The proposed material consists of SnO2 and activated carbon, which can be deposited using a cost-effective sol–gel technique. The effects of the activated carbon concentration on the structural and optoelectronic properties were investigated using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, UV–vis spectroscopy and four probe measurements. It was found that the addition of activated carbon reduces resistivity and optical transmittance, and suppresses fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) growth. The nanocomposite material was integrated into a dye sensitized solar cell and evaluated using cyclic voltammetry and J–V characteristics under solar light illumination, and demonstrated power conversion efficiency ~2.35%

摘要:Sol–gel production of p-type ZnO thin films were studied by co-doping method using a combination of aluminium nitrate and ammonia at different concentrations. The resultant ZnO:Al:N thin films were thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence emission spectroscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, UV–vis spectroscopy. It was found that the ammonia concentration in the initial precursor strongly effect subsequent optoelectronic properties of the film.

摘要:Thin films of intrinsic, N-doped and N/Al co-doped ZnO were prepared by a sol–gel deposition process. The effect of doping on structure, optoelectronics and photocatalytic properties of ZnO were studied. It was found that the doping process reduces the commonly observed wrinkled effect. XRD pattern measurements confirmed that all the films preferentially grow in the c-axis orientation, with degradation in crystallinity in doped films. The dopant created defect can be also observed in the PL spectra and UV–vis measurements of the NZO and NAZO thin film, with reduced band gap in doped films. Photocatalytic measurements confirm that the N and N/Al dopant process enhances photocatalytic degradation of MB by narrowing the band gap.

摘要:SnS coated ZnO nanowires heterojunctional solar cells were fabricated using a combination of hydrothermal synthesis and chemical bath deposition (CBD) method. The synthesized materials and devices were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), photoluminescence emission spectroscopy, Uv–Vis spectroscopy and electrical measurements. SEM imaging of the sample revealed that the CBD SnS coating bunches the underlying ZnO nanowires due to the large capillary force it experiences during the drying process. Both of the EDS and XRD measurements confirm the presence of SnS and SnO2. Optoelectronic measurement confirms that the fabricated device exhibit high absorbance (∼80%) and exhibit photovoltaic behaviour

摘要:We have optimized the low-temperature growth of microcrystalline silicon at 80 degrees C. This material has been used to fabricate bottom-gate mu c-Si:H TFTs by using a layer-by-layer nitrogenation process. By using this process, the amorphous incubation layer can be converted into silicon nitride and leads to an increase in a field-effect mobility of the TFT.

摘要:When a carbon nanotube emitter is operated at high currents (typically above 1 mu A per emitter), a small voltage drop (similar to few volts) along its length or at its contact generates a reverse/canceling electric field that causes a saturation-like deviation from the classical Fowler-Nordheim behavior with respect to the applied electric field. We present a correction to the Fowler-Nordheim equation to account for this effect, which is experimentally verified using field emission and contact electrical measurements on individual carbon nanotube emitters. By using rapid thermal annealing to improve both the crystallinity of the carbon nanotubes and their electrical contact to the substrate, it is possible to reduce this voltage drop, allowing very high currents of up to 100 mu A to be achieved per emitter with no significant deviation from the classical Fowler-Nordheim behavior.

摘要:We demonstrate the production of integrated-gate nanocathodes which have a single carbon nanotube or silicon nanowire/whisker per gate aperture. The fabrication is based on a technologically scalable, self-alignment process in which a single lithographic step is used to define the gate, insulator, and emitter. The nanotube-based gated nanocathode array has a low turn-on voltage of 25 V and a peak current of 5 muA at 46 V, with a gate current of 10 nA (i.e., 99% transparency). These low operating voltage cathodes are potentially useful as electron sources for field emission displays or miniaturizing electron-based instrumentation
