摘要We use a simple and all-aqueous method, transfer printing, to pattern solution-processed graphene oxide (GO). We took advantage of the naturally charged property of GO, which were prepared using the Hummers’ method, to pattern it on the Si/SiO2 substrates which were pre-soaked in polyethyleneimine (PEI) solution. The charged GO was spin-coated on the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)stamp to achieve maskless patterning by a transfer printing method. The feature sizes of the printed GO patterns obtained range from 20 to 90 μm and the transfer-printed area reaches 2 cm* 2 cm. We also discuss the mechanisms of the transfer process, which are dependent on the different strengths of nonspecific adhesion at the interface between the PDMS-GO sheets and substrate-GO sheets,as well as the electrostatic interaction between charged functional groups on GO and PEI molecules. Raman spectra and mapping not only show the result of area-selective patterning, but also show the continuity of the GO patterns. Finally, we use this method to fabricate GO patterns on glass substrate and transform these GO patterns to reduced graphene oxide through thermal treatment.

摘要Hierarchical high-density well-aligned branched ZnO nanostructures are prepared on conductive glass substrates via a facile strategy with an aqueous solution process. The formation mechanism of ZnO array on a ZnO array is discussed based on the coincident lattice between the trunk and branches. Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are fabricated using a well-aligned, high-density, and crystalline array of branched ZnO nanostructures (nanorods (NRs), nanotubes (NTs)) as photoanodes. The ZnO trunks provide fast routes for electron transport to the substrate electrode. The branched ZnO nanotubes (B-ZNTs) DSSCs exhibit an overall efficiency of 0.97%,which is a 52% improvement compared with that obtained for ZnO NRs (ZNRs) DSSCs. The better photovoltaic performance of hierarchical ZnO nanoarchitecture DSSCs is due to a higher dye loading and light harvesting as a consequence of the enlargement of the internal surface area and optical scattering from the dendritic structure within the photoanode.

摘要Au nanoparticles are hydrothermally loaded on the ZnO nanorod arrays (NRs), and the characteristics of Au can be modulated by controlling the precursor concentration. The morphology, crystallinity and composition of Au/ZnO nanorods are characterized by SEM, XRD and TEM. Moreover, the growth behavior and mechanism of Au nanoparticles with different sizes and populations on ZnO are proposed and clearly elucidated. Furthermore, the influence of Au nanoparticle decoration on ZnO NRs used for CO gas sensor is discussed in terms of its surface configuration and the related sensitization mechanisms. It is found that the gas sensitivity toward C2H5OH is superior to that of H2 and CO in the Au/ZnO NRs, especially for higher concentrations of analyte, and the result is ascribed to the difference in electron donating effect and the increasing quantity in chemisorbed oxygen by the catalytic effect of Au nanoparticles.

摘要In this work, we report a simple hydrothermal method for growth of aligned TiO2 nanorod arrays directly on SnO2:F (FTO) coated glass substrates without any seed layer. The rectangular nanorod is single crystalline with a tetragonal rutile structure. The diameter, length and density of the nanorods are determined by the synthesis temperature. When synthesis temperature increases from 110 to 190 C, the diameter increases from 53 to 249 nm, and the length increases from to 324 to 1904 nm. However, the highest density is obtained at 150 C due to nuclei coalescence at the high synthesis temperature. The activation energy for formation of TiO2 nanorod arrays is 102 kJ/mol obtained by using an Arrhenius equation.

摘要The tunable recovery time and photosensitivity are achieved by controlling the concentration of oxygen vacancies on the surface of ZnO-nanowire (ZnO-NW) photodetector (PD) through a hydrothermal treatment in pure water. Performance instability originates from the interaction of oxygen vacancies near ZnO surface with the atmosphere during service. A novel conception of decreasing the concentration of oxygen vacancy for decreasing photoresponse time is proposed and achieved by a hydrothermal treatment. The rationale can be widely used for compensating oxygen vacancies of nanostructures with complex morphology at low temperature.

摘要A novel and simple wet process for producing ZnO submicroplate structures is reported. In the solution system, the morphology development and the size variation can be controlled by altering the amount of water added due to a controlled hydrolysis process of CH3COO?, i.e. the increased concentration of hydroxyl ions. When increasing the amount of water up to 10ml, the amount of OH? ions increased, was adsorbed onto the ZnO (0001) plane, and eventually the [0001] growth direction was impeded. The morphology development and change in growth direction due to the ion adsorption are identified using transmission electron microscopy. In summary, the water can be added to act as a shape modifier for ZnO crystals, and this process presents a new way of synthesizing different structures of ZnO.

摘要The nearly monodispersed Pd nanoparticles with controllable density on ZnO nanorod arrays were prepared by the unique PVP-mediated photochemical deposition (PCD). The changes in morphology and dispersion of Pd on ZnO surface are ascribed to the stabilizing property and self-assembly characteristic of PVP being exploited during PCD. There are three temperature-dependent H2 sensing mechanisms in those Pd/ZnO NRs, including general oxygen adsorption/desorption mode within 200?300 °C, surface conductivity mode at 60?120 °C and palladium hydride (PdHx) formation at room temperature, which causes a significant discrepancy in sensitivity variations as a function of Pd density. It is also verified that the electronic sensitization related to the transition of Pd2+/Pd0 redox couple predominates the promoting mechanism in Pd/ZnO NRs used for sensing H2 at 200?300 °C. Therefore, the gas sensitivity to 500 ppm H2 of Pd/ZnO NRs can be significantly improved by around 553-fold (S, Ra/Rg 1106) at 260 °C through decorating an adequate amount of discrete Pd nanoparticles instead of the Pd clusters, moreover, the corresponding sensitivity at room temperature is 16.9 that is superior to some promising devices reported in the literatures.

摘要The ZnO nanorod arrays are grown on the sol– gel-derived seed layer through aqueous chemical growth, and then assembled as gas sensors for detecting carbon monoxide (CO). It is found that the structural and photoluminescent properties of the ZnO nanorod arrays are different as they are grown on seed layers annealed at different temperature (300–700 C), which is ascribed to distinct growth kinetics of nanorods on the annealed seed layer. Moreover, the correlation between the exposed surface area and the defect density of those ZnO nanorod arrays points out the intrinsic (interior) defects can dominate the green emission instead of surface defects in the present study. Furthermore, the quantities of chemisorbed oxygen on ZnO nanorod arrays can be estimated through XPS analysis. Consequently, the influence of intrinsic defects and chemisorbed oxygen on the electrical properties and gas sensitivities of ZnO nanorod arrays has been clearly elucidated. It is demonstrated that the more adsorbed oxygen and an appropriate amount of intrinsic defects is advantageous to obtain superior CO gas sensitivity for ZnO nanorod arrays.

摘要Uniform WO3 nanorods were prepared by a hydrothermal process, and the synthesis was accomplished by using NaCl as the capping agent and Na2WO4 as the inorganic precursor. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometer, transmission electron microscopy and UV–visible spectroscopy were used to characterize the morphology, phase, and nanostructure of the resulting nanorods. The effects of pH and the amount of NaCl capping agent on the morphology of the WO3 nanorods were investigated. Uniform and regular aligned WO3 nanorod ?lms can be achieved by self-assembly in a drop coating process. Moreover, the electrochromic devices based on WO3 nanorods display a deep blue color and have low transmittance (2%) in the colored state, especially in the infrared range, which may provide a promising platform for energy-saving smart windows, and other electro-optical applications.

摘要TiO2 nanosheets with single monoclinic phase have been synthesized by a hydrothermal method using 6 M NaOH aqueous solution at 180C. TiO2 nanosheets exhibited surface area of 100 m2 g1, which is larger than those obtained by solid-state reaction. The capability of lithium-ion batteries could be strongly enhanced by TiO2(B) nanosheets to yield discharge capacity higher than 200 mAh g1, even upon 25 cycles of 0.1-C-rate discharge–charge operations, showing highly reversible capacity and good cycling stability with excellent capacity retention of 96% with water-based binder. The results suggest that TiO2(B) nanosheets could be a promising negative electrode material for use in lithium-ion batteries.

摘要The cobalt sul?de nano?ake arrays prepared by the transformation of Co(OH)2 nano?ake arrays using the ion exchange reaction method were incorporated into Pt-free dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Morphologies and crystal structures of the cobalt sul?de and cobalt hydroxide nano?akes arrays were characterized by SEM, TEM and XRD analyses. The electrochemical properties were determined by cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurement. The cobalt sul?de nano?akes which were composed of CoS2 single crystals and their aggregates dispersing in the amorphous cobalt sul?de matrix were completely transferred by substitution of S2?? for O2?? in the ion exchange reaction. The DSSC assembled with cobalt sul?de nano?ake arrays as the counter electrode showed a photovoltaic conversion e?ciency of 5.20%, which was close to that of DSSC with sputtered Pt as the counter electrode (5.34%). Therefore, the cobalt sul?de nano?ake array ?lm can be considered as a promising alternative counter electrode for use in DSSCs due to its large surface area and high electrocatalytic performance.

摘要A TiO2(B) nanosheets/SnO2 nanoparticles composite was prepared by the hydrothermal and chemical bath deposition(CBD)methods,and its electrochemical properties were investigated for use as the anode material of a lithium-ion battery.The as-prepared composites consisted of monoclinic-phase TiO2(B) nanosheets and cassiterite structure SnO2 nanoparticles, in which SnO2 nanoparticles were uniformly decorated on the TiO2(B)nanosheets. The TiO2(B)/SnO2 composite showed a higher reversible capacity and better durability than that of the pure TiO2(B) for use as a battery anode. The composite electrodes exhibiting a high initial discharge capacity of 2239.1mAhg-1 and a discharge capacity of more than 868.7mAhg-1 could be maintained after 50 cycles at 0.1C in a voltage range of 1.0–3.0 V at room temperature. The results suggest that TiO2(B) nanosheets coated with SnO2 could be suitable for use as a stable anode material for lithium-ion batteries.In addition, the coulombic efficiency of the nanosheets remains at an average of 93.1% for the 3rd–50th cycles.

摘要We use a simple liquid-phase exfoliation process to prepare a large-area 2-D material, few-layer graphene (FLG) sheets, with the assistance of short-time sonication. Big-sized and layered raw materials, natural graphite flakes (NGFs), were used in this research. No surfactant was added, and only low boiling point solvents and ionic chemicals were used. NGFs was added as the raw material and ethanol and ammonia were used as solvents, then ultrasound was applied to help direct exfoliation in a bath. The size of the as-prepared directly exfoliated graphene sheets (DEGS) was greater than 20 μm on the longer side. The number of layers is less than five, and the presence of a Moir´e fringe is due to the folding occurring in the as-prepared DEGS. The direct exfoliation mechanism for preparing large-area graphene sheets is proposed. The X-ray diffraction patterns provide the evidence of the increasing of the layer spacing. The layer spacing of graphite is increased after the sonication treatment with the addition of the ethanol, ammonia and NaCl. The concentration of large-area DEGS suspension is up to 18 ∼ 20 μg/mL in a simple and short time process.

摘要Tungsten oxide nanowire arrays as effective electrochromic working electrodes were fabricated on seed-free FTO glass through a facile solvothermal process. Polyethylene glycol was used as the structure-directing agent to control the crystal growth because of selective absorption on the facet of tungsten oxide crystals. Phase identification and growth mechanism of monoclinic W18O49 nanowire arrays are also extensively discussed. Uniform transparent W18O49 nanowire arrays film exhibits remarkable performance of electrochromic properties, which include high contrast (49.64 % at 632.8 nm), high electrochromic stability ([3000 CV cycles), and fast coloration/bleaching response (tc * 7.9 s, tb * 1.4 s). These properties of the W18O49 nanowire arrays film endow its promising practical applications in large-area smart windows.

摘要Spinel Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) has the advantages of superior cycling performance, long and stable voltage plateau, enhanced safety, low cost, and environmental friendliness. LTO nanosheets were synthesized by a hydrothermal method using Ti(OC4H9)4 and LiOH as the raw materials, followed by a subsequent heat treatment to get the desired phase. The effects of the reactant concentration and heat treatment temperature on the phase structure were studied to optimize process parameters for preparing the LTO nanosheets. The results demonstrate that the LTO nanosheets obtained by a hydrothermal method with 2 M LiOH and a subsequent heat treatment at 550 C exhibit an outstanding stable capacity of 175 mA h g-1 at 0.1 C to 20 C for 40 cycles. The ameliorated electrode-performance is ascribed to the nanostructure of the materials, which provides shorter diffusion-paths and a faster migration rate for both ions and electrons. The newly synthesized nanostructured LTO materials can offer good high rate performance and stability. Li4Ti5O12 nanosheets were developed in this paper for use as anode materials for lithium-ion power batteries with high-rate applications.

摘要Mesoporous cobalt sulfide nanotube arrays on FTO-coated glass were synthesized by combining three simple technologies: the selective etching of ZnO sacrificial templates, mesoporous Co3O4 formation from cobalt-chelated chitosan, and ion-exchange reaction (IER). The mesoporous Co3O4 nanotubes composed of the Co3O4 nanoparticles possess a high surface area and are taken advantage for further removal of templates and IER. The morphologies and crystal structures of the CoS2 nanotube arrays were characterized by SEM, TEM, and XRD analyses. Their electrocatalytic properties were determined by electrochemical analyses including cyclic voltammetry measurements and Tafel polarization. The DSSCs assembled with a CoS2 counter electrode achieved a power conversion efficiency of 6.13 %, which was comparable to that of the DSSC with the Pt counter electrode (6.04 %). This indicates that the mesoporous CoS2 nanotube array can be a low-cost and efficient alternative for the reduction of electrolytes in DSSCs.

摘要The graphene and graphene oxide sheets were prepared from directly exfoliated and Hummer’s method. Nitrogen doping was applied with the assistance of ultrasonicator to achieve doping via a simple, low-cost aqueous route. The size of graphene and graphene oxide sheets was examined by transmission electron microscopy with a size of several micrometer. The doping phenomenon was achieved by the addition of aqua ammonia and the analysis were examined by Raman microscopy. The approve of N-doping was got with the appearance of G0 band. The existence of nitrogen element were further examined by energy dispersive spectroscopy.

摘要Tungsten oxides (W18O49) nanowire arrays as effective electrochromic working electrodes were fabricated on seed-free FTO glasses through a facile solvothermal process. XRD, FESEM and TEM were used to characterize the phase, morphology and nanostructure. Uniform monoclinic W18O49 nanowire arrays can be obtained at 180 C for 5 h. In the assembled electrochromic device the W18O49 nanowire array films show a fast response and switching time, extracted for a 50% transmittance change of 10.8 s for coloration (tc) and 3.1 s for bleaching (tb), which surpass current traditional devices using monoclinic tungsten oxide (WO3) as the electrochromic material. The reasons can be attributed to their large specific surface area, special tunnel structure and non-stoichiometry characteristics. A complementary electrochromic device combining the W18O49 nanowire arrays with Prussian blue film shows a higher optical contrast (59.05% at 632.8 nm) and a faster switching response with a coloration time of 6.9 s and a bleaching time of 1.2 s, superior to the single layer W18O49 nanowire device. The complementary device with excellent electrochromic performance demonstrates a great potential for practical application.

摘要Transparent crystalline tungsten oxide nanorod arrays for use as an electrochromic layer have been directly prepared on fluorine-doped tin oxidecoated glass via a facile tungsten film-assisted hydrothermal process using aqueous tungsten hexachloride solution. X-ray diffraction analysis and fieldemission scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the phase and morphology of the grown nanostructures. Arrays of tungsten oxide nanorods with diameter of 22 nm and length of 240 nm were obtained at 200C after 8 h of hydrothermal reaction. We propose a growth mechanism for the deposition of the monoclinic tungsten oxide phase in the hydrothermal environment. The tungsten film was first oxidized to tungsten oxide to provide seed sites for crystal growth and address the poor connection between the growing tungsten oxide and substrate. Aligned tungsten oxide nanorod arrays can be grown by a W thin film-assisted heterogeneous nucleation process with NaCl as a structure-directing agent. The fabricated electrochromic device demonstrated optical modulation (coloration/bleaching) at 632.8 nm of 41.2% after applying a low voltage of 0.1 V for 10 s, indicating the potential of such nanorod array films for use in energy-saving smart windows.

摘要The graphene oxide (GO) sheets were prepared from Hummer’s method. The reduced process is important to graphene related materials for widely functional use in many photoelectric fields. Chemically and heat reduced treatment are carried out in this research and the electrical and optical properties of reduced GO films are measured. The size of GO sheets was examined by transmission electron microscopy with a size of about 5–6 μm. The chemically converted graphene (CCG) film are made by spin coating method. We used different GO concentration and different spin coating times to investigate the properties of graphene transparent conductive films. As the decrease of the GO concentration of solution and the times of spin coating, the transmittance is higher. The electrical property of the mixing of GO and CCG is more stable than the GO sheets only, this is discussed in this research and it is cause by the stacking condition of sheets. The conductivity of reduced graphene oxide film come from GO is lower than that come from CCG, we suppose that is because that the overlapping is less (i.e. film-forming ability) in the former, the transmittance and sheet resistance are 56 T% and 50 kohm/sq.

摘要Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanorods (NRs) are widely used as photoanodes in photoelectrochemical (PEC) solar fuel production because of their remarkable photoactivity and stability. In addition, TiO2 NR electrode materials can be decorated with active CdS quantum dots (QDs) to expand the sunlight photon capture. The overall photoelectric conversion efficiency for TiO2 NR or QD-sensitized TiO2 NR electrode materials in PEC is typically dominated by their interfacial electron transfer (ET) properties. To understand the key factors affecting the ET, the anatase TiO2 seed layer was added into the interface between the rutile TiO2 NRs and fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) substrate. This seed layer enhanced the photocatalytic performance of both the TiO2 NR and CdS QD-sensitized TiO2 NR photoanodes in PEC. Time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy and PEC analyses, including Mott–Schottky, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and photovoltage (Vph) measurements, were used to study the charge-carrier dynamics at the interfaces between the FTO, TiO2, and CdS QD. Analysis of the results showed that band alignment at the anatase/rutile junction between the TiO2 and FTO promoted electron-collection efficiency (eEC) at the FTO/TiO2 interface and ET rate constant (kET) at the TiO2/CdS QD interface. Furthermore, 34% enhancement of the efficiency in hydrogen (H2) generation demonstrated the potential of the TiO2 seed-layer-mediated TiO2/CdS QD NR photoanode in the application of PEC solar fuel production. The current work represents new insights into the mechanism of ET in TiO2 and TiO2/CdS QD NR, which is very useful for the development of photoelectrode materials in solar energy conversions.

摘要Defective transition metal oxides prepared via a hydrogenation treatment have attracted growing attention for use as electrode materials of batteries and supercapacitors due to their improved electrochemical properties. In this work, two TiO2 phases, namely, rutile (TiO2-R) and anatase (TiO2-A), and their hydrogenated phases (denoted with the prefix “H”) are investigated as anodes for sodium-ion batteries. The charge–discharge properties of both phases can be enhanced via a high-pressure hydrogenation treatment. For example, H-TiO2-A exhibits exceptional high-rate performance (100 mA h g–1 at 10,000 mA g–1 vs 5 mA h g–1 at the same current rate for TiO2-A) and great cycling stability (80% capacity retention after 4500 cycles). The introduction of oxygen vacancies increases the electronic and ionic conductivity of TiO2 and the disordered structure offers more active sites for electrochemical reactions. The H-TiO2-R and H-TiO2-A electrodes are compared for sodium-ion battery applications. The superior performance of the former electrode is supported by the generalized gradient approximation Perdew–Burke–Ernzerhof density functional calculation.
