摘要A new 2.6 GHz CMOS LTE 4G handset receiver front-end with a wideband rectangular dielectric resonator antenna are proposed. The antenna provides an impedance bandwidth of 95% for VSWR · 2:5. A monopole antenna conformed standard (2:05 ? 5:8 GHz) characteristics including return loss and radiation patterns were analyzed and discussed. LTE 4G handset receiver front-end using merged folded cascoded (MFC) scheme demonstrate a 13.7 dB gain, low noise ¯gure of 5.6 dB, and IIP3 at ! 1:67 dBm with 1.97 mA bias current from a 1.0-V power supply.

摘要This paper is concerned with the design of a field programmable gate arrays- (FPGAs-) based digital proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller for synchronization of a continuous chaotic model. By using the evolutionary programming (EP) algorithm, optimal control gains in PID-controlled chaotic systems are derived such that a performance index of integrated absolute error (IAE) is as minimal as possible. To verify the system performance, basic electronic components, including OPA resistor and capacitor elements, were used to implement the chaotic Sprott circuits, and FPGA technology was used to implement the proposed digital PID controller. Numerical and experimental results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization procedure.

名稱A Compact Planar Inverted-F Antenna for Octa-band Operations of Smart Handset

摘要 This paper applies planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) to design a smart handset antenna in accordance with octa-band operations, as GSM 850 (824-894 MHz), GSM 900 (880-960 MHz), GSM 1800/1900, DCS 1800 (1710-1880 MHz), PCS 1900 (1850-1990 MHz), UMTS (1920-2170 MHz), IEEE 802.11b WLAN (2400-2484 MHz) and LTE (700 MHz/2300 MHz/2600 MHz) band operations for S 11 ≦ -6 dB. The entire antenna is 75 × 22 × 5.8 mm 3 with one-quarter wavelength design of hub. With the inter-coupling between dual branch circuit radiation and multiple branch circuit radiation, the wideband for GSM 1800/1900, DCS, PCS, UMTS, IEEE 802.11b WLAN and LTE 700/2300/2600 is generated. When integrating with mobiles, the designed ground plane area is also taken into consideration. In this case, the ground plane area can be increased in accordance to the system motherboard.

摘要This paper presents a broadband antenna presently being used in LTE700/GSM850/900 systems for smart phone applications. The proposed CPW-fed monopole antenna consists of oval-C and dual-L-shaped strips. The impedance bandwidth de?ned by return loss S 11 5 10 dB is from 660 to 975 MHz. The antenna bandwidth includes LTE700 (698–806 MHz), GSM 850 (824–894 MHz), and GSM900 (880–960 MHz) GSM850/900 bands. Long-term evolution (LTE) is one of the mobile communication technologies that target the 700 MHz band (LTE bands 13 and 17: 698–806 MHz). The LTE service is expected to provide better communication quality than the existing services, such as GSM850 (824–894 MHz) and GSM900 (880–960 MHz). However, mobile phones are desired to be able to cover at least a few of the existing service bands and LTE bands at the same time especially before the wide spread of the LTE services. The measured peak gains are 1.72–3.12 dBi with suf?cient bandwidths to cover modern portable communication devices. The radiation ef?ciencies are all larger than 75% for an entire band. The simulated and measured results show a good agreement. This proposed antenna with multiband, broadband matched impedance, stable radiation patterns, constant antenna gains, and compact size is suitable for multimode applications.

名稱A Broadband Dipole Antenna for DTV and GSM850/900 Applications

摘要A simple planar broadband dipole antenna for both digital television signal (DTV) reception in UHF band and mobile communications in the GSM850/900 band is presented. Broadband operation of the proposed dipole antenna is obtained by successfully exciting its half- and one-wavelength modes which are further adjusted to be at close frequencies to form a broadband characteristic. The simulated impedance bandwidth de¯ned by return loss S 11 5 ! 8 dB is from 460 to 980 MHz. This proposed antenna with broadband matched impedance, stable radiation patterns and good antenna gains can be suitable for communication products of DTV and GSM850/900 applications.

摘要In this paper, new techniques are proposed to increase the front-to-back ratio of the stepped-impedance (SI) open-slot antenna for operation from 1.67 GHz to 4.25 GHz, covering the required frequency bands of the wireless communications systems, such as DCS, PCS, IM-2000, and WLAN. By designing a stub-protruded feed line and adding two symmetrical stubs at the edge of a quarter-wavelength slot, additional capacitance is introduced to the resonator. Hence, the impedance-matching condition of the SI open-slot antenna is not only effectively improved, but also the resonance frequency of the slot antenna is signi?cantly shifted down and then an improvement in impedance bandwidth is achieved. In order to decrease the back radiation, two pairs of symmetrical open slots with uniform width are etched at the back of the blocking open slot such that the currents along the longitudinal edges of the ground plane cannot ?ow to the back direction. In addition, by embedding an array of seven slits beside the radiating slot, the back lobe at the upper frequency bands can be reduced. Two pairs of three-element metal strips are utilized as a power director to increase the forward power and enhance the front-to-back ratio of the SI open-slot antenna. Compared to conventional unidirectional radiation antennas, the proposed antenna demonstrates improved wideband unidirectional radiation characteristics and relatively smaller size.

摘要A new 2.6 GHz CMOS front-end for LTE 4G handset receiver is proposed. LTE 4G handset receiver front-end using a dual gain mode folded-cascode (DGMFC) scheme provides a 15.3 dB/24.8 dB forward gain, noise figure of 4.5 dB/4.0 dB, and an IIP3 at -13.8 dBm/5.2 dBm with 13.7 mA/12.9 mA bias current from a 1.0-V power supply in low-gain/high-gain mode, respectively. The fully tunable 2.6-GHz receiver front-end is fabricated using 0.18 μm TSMC CMOS technology. .
